Back Pain | Fix Back Pain, Neck Pain And Shoulder Pain With This Technique
Mirror, Mirror…
Most of us find something we see in the mirror to our disliking, so we make some adjustments such as sucking in our gut or standing a little straighter, and then go on our way. The next time we see a mirror we see the same things we didn’t like before and we make the same adjustments we made before. What we don’t realize is that some of these habits are causing us back, neck, or shoulder pain.
The truth is we all have habits of posture we do unconsciously and some we do on purpose and we think they help us look or feel better. Some of these habits we do because we trained ourselves to do them, even if we can’t remember why. If we can fix some of these habits we can fix back pain.
Bad Habits…
Each of these habits of posture and body mechanics, when done improperly, can add up to muscle twinges, backaches, and/or shoulder pain. Sometimes these habits can lead to debilitating pain, pain that doctors are mystified at and pinpointing their cause is a mystery. They have no idea how to fix back pain associated with improper body mechanics.
For instance, slouching can compress the lower vertebrae and bring on lower back pain or constantly working with a computer monitor at the wrong level can cause neck pain and headache. We may want to correct these problems with our body mechanics and posture and fix back pain but trying to do fix back pain this way by yourself without an objective observer often simply replaces one set of bad body mechanics and posture problems with another set of bad body mechanics and posture problems. Is some cases this can even make your pain worse instead of providing a way to fix back pain.
Fix Back Pain With The Alexander Technique
The Alexander Technique of body mechanics and posture retraining will help you gain conscious control over your posture and body movements and fix back pain associated with these movements. Taking lessons in the Alexander Technique is a real eye opener and major way to fix back pain. In some cases back, neck, and/or shoulder pain that no one has been able to cure will simply vanish. Other pains with known causes like arthritis will be greatly reduced.
Evaluate Yourself To Fix Back Pain
You could take a mirror and try to evaluate yourself and then make changes. You might actually fix back pain to some degree, but in the long run you will not fix back pain as well as far as you will with lessons taught by trained professionals.
Stop Damaging Habits To Fix Back Pain
Even the most damaging habits we have can’t be stopped and nothing will fix back pain until we recognise them for what they are and in order to do that, we need an objective view of ourselves such as that given by a teacher, a mirror, or a video camera. When we see ourselves from a perspective outside of our own bodies we can begin to learn to move and hold our bodies in ways that will have amazing benefits and fix back pain, neck pain, and/or shoulder pain.
Where Do They Come From
But why did we develop these bad body mechanics and posture in the first place? There are many reasons. Maybe we felt self conscious as a teenager and we slouched, or perhaps we crouched over a keyboard to work on our computers and never gave thought to adjusting it properly to fit our body’s needs. The most important thing now is to identify these problems, eliminate them and fix back pain.
Repeat New Habits To Fix Back Pain
If we begin a process of learning and repeating new habits we will eventually replace the old bad habits of posture and body mechanics and find our selves with little to no pain in our backs, necks and shoulders. So fix your back pain starting today.
